Holme Lacy is the perfect location from which to explore the idyllic Wye Valley and the mysterious Forest of Dean. We explore some of Herefordshire's delightful 'black and white' villages and also visit the charming market town of Ledbury.
After our local pick-ups we travel to Cheltenham for our lunch stop. We then continue our journey to Hereford and arrive at Warners with time to relax before dinner.
After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Ledbury. Big enough to be bustling and vibrant, but small enough to keep a strong sense of community, Ledbury is a market town with a unique feel. Distinct from the other Herefordshire market towns, at the centre of Ledbury is the Black and White Grade 1 listed Market Hall. Built in 1653 by the King's Carpenter John Abel.
Today we explore some of Herefordshire's gorgeous 'black and white' villages. Our route takes in delightful cottages, inns, shops and timber-framed hamlets including Dilwyn, Weobley, Eardisley, Pembridge and Eardisland. We have free time in Leominster before returning to our hotel.
We return home with a lengthy lunch stop in Burford.
